What matters more: doing the right thing or doing something right now that gets you attention?

I don’t care if my kids win awards. I don’t care if I win awards. What I care about more is that Jackson and Addison do the right thing. I’d rather do the right thing and sacrifice my personal gain than turn a blind eye and ignore doing something right in order to better my personal position.
